The Tarpon (Megalops atlanticus), better known in northeastern Brazil as "camurupim", is the main focus of our operation. It's a highly sporting fish, known for its acrobatic leaps and its agility in freeing itself from the hook. Juveniles reach an average of 15 kg, while adults can exceed 130 kg. We offer more than 7 destinations for you to get to know this amazing species in northeastern Brazil.

Allow yourself to be guided by our team. When you hire our services, you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of an urban fishing trip, with our transfer and transportation services included in the package.
While fishing, our clients can also count on our on-board service, with a cooler stocked with water, ice and soft drinks, as well as sandwiches and fruit.
In the absence of fishing equipment, we have a range of equipment available for rent, as well as guides with knowledge of foreign languages who are highly capable of instructing from beginner to advanced levels.
As well as getting to know the tarpon, one of the most sporting fish in the world, fishing with us will also provide you with a cultural immersion, passing by various historic buildings and monuments in downtown Recife, and you can visit different beaches and tourist attractions in our region.
YOUR GUIDE
ÉVERTON PIRES
A lover of fly fishing, he is a professional fishing guide and founder of Recife Tarpon. A fisheries engineer by university education, he is certified as a waterman by the Brazilian Navy and is able to guide boats with tourists.
He began his activities as a fishing guide in 2016 with Untamed Angling, guiding Americans and Europeans in remote jungle fishing destinations. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
